55'
motorsailer daycharter catamaran in composite construction.
A
55' motorsailor daycharter catamaran in composite.
The 49-passenger "PORT ALLEN EXPRESS" daycharter
catamaran motorsailer design was the result of a week
long work session with the legendary Capt. Andy of
Kauai. It had all the features that he specifically
needed, based on his years of experience. The
basic idea was to be able to maintain a basic minimum
boat speed of no less than 15 knots no matter what
the conditions.
It was to be built in composite. A reliable
composite builder could not be found at the time
and it was not built.
