Rapid-Construction Multihulls
38' Catamaran
38'
cruising catamaran in developed plywood.
This
38'
cruising catamaran design was created after
sailing on a tube catamaran in big wind.
The idea was to optimize performance by giving
the crew protection from the weather and sure
line handling. Much better structural
rigidity was an added benefit. Some time
later the famous John West proved the concept,
down under.
This
cat is built with the rapid CM construction in
plywood/epoxy. As all the habitable
space is in the central nacelle, the hulls can
be very rough and quick to build.
This
cat is remarkably fast under sail.
