The clients wanted a 56' cruising
catamaran as a high speed floating home and office.
After researching it, they chose the rapid CM construction
in plywood/epoxy with core used on the large flat surfaces.
The interior includes a piano space in addition to the
usual cruising cat rooms. The enclosed helm station
is delightful with doors to both the main cabin and
to outside.
Like
most KHSD multis, its deep foils let it point like wild,
but both boards and rudders can be retracted to nose
the cat up onto the beach.
When
I was on it, a pair of smaller Yanmar series 4 engines
were pushing it at 13 knots. |
