This
36' cruising catamaran was discontinued for a while
as I filled the niche with a composite 37' catamaran.
After that I sold several sets of this one.
It is back again and updated. The hulls are
the rapid CM construction. The bridgedeck and
house use epoxy plywood with extensive core materials
to stiffen the large panels. Everything is designed
with an eye toward ease of construction. Styling is
from a collaboration with the legendary Mike Schaat.
It
has generous sitting headroom 5'-8"
(1.73m) on the bridgedeck, but not full
standing headroom. That helps it slog to
weather better by keeping windage down.
It does have full standing headroom in the
hulls. Boards and deep rudders help it
point and maneuver better than others.
The
plans show outboard power for simplicity.
Several
have been built, including one out of alloy!
